jindle 10 Posted August 9, 2014 Hello all, set off in 93 VR6, and noticed after around thirty seconds that the Abs light was still on. Hit the brakes to stop and they pushed back and the abs pump started make a very loud noise, as if it was stuck on. Parked up and disconnected the battery now. Any ideas what it might be? A faulty relay perhaps?
Jim Bowen 1 Posted August 9, 2014 Could be something like the pedal position sensor or a wheel sensor. Mine was all disconnected by a previous owner. ABS seems a bit sketchy on the corrado. I prefer a car without tbh.
jindle 10 Posted August 9, 2014 I have my TVR for that!!! Will check out the sensors then if it doesn't dump it down tomorrow
jindle 10 Posted August 10, 2014 Any clues as to where fuses and relays are? Can't find anything behind the globe box?
Dox 23 Posted August 10, 2014 Any clues as to where fuses and relays are? Can't find anything behind the globe box? Have you taken the glove box out?
jindle 10 Posted August 10, 2014 Hi mate, have found them now, they'd been tucked down under some wiring and foam. Pulled the fuse attached to relay 179 and all good now. Time to study some wiring diagrams I guess. Did notice some corrosion on the relay too but hopefully just a spider web interfering with one of the sensors
