Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) If you go down the DTA route these will do you a custom made loom for around the £350 mark http://www.mefmotorsport.com/shop/ I would save my money personally. You won't get a better quality loom than VAG's, so all you need to do is chop off the Motronic plugs and re-terminate with the DTA ones. As Kip says, if you've got the wiring diagrams for both, it's pretty straight forward. You do need a decent quality crimp tool for the tiny AMP connector pins though. bristolbaron 10 Posted September 22, 2014 Would a mk4 loom work with a mk5 engine if you were running DTA?
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 22, 2014 Nope. Different cam sensors and injectors. It could be made to work by swapping plugs etc, but better to stick with the loom the engine came with for an easy life! MK5 also uses a floor mounted pedal, which again uses an entirely different connector.
