PD150 TDI conversion

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I've been away from the world of corrados for about 6 years. I currently have a mk4 golf TDI pd150. I'm considering using it as a donar for a corrado project. I've tried searching on here but I can't seem to find any info on the conversion. I'll be on the search for a suitable car to fit the engine in to also. Is there a certain model that lends itself better than others for the tdi?

Any info/links to build threads/corrado a for sale would be appreciated

Cheers

Hi mate its no for the faint hearted.

Its not a straight forward swap. Currently doing the blackberry. A couple of bits that have had to fabricated have been driveshafts and engine mounts.

Nice one. I've got a local guy who can make up shafts. So your retaining the 6 speed box? The only other bits I was wondering about were fuel pumps/tank and do you need to retain the golf clocks too?

There is a guy near me that can make a loom that will plug and play mate.

Yeah I am retaining the six speed. Thought if going to do the conversion might aswell keep it.

going to use the standard tank mate with a upgraded fuel pump
