tank strap advice

Hi all,

noticed my tank straps have seen better days so found some stainless steel ones that say the fit a vr6 70litre tank

Am I right in thinking that my late model 94 2.0 16v has a 70 litre tank so these will fit?

Yes,all the later cars had the 70l tank,

There is a guy on eBay selling stainless straps if you want go that way

Ace,the one on eBay are the ones I had found just didn't mention the 16v on the listing but I had read so ewhere that later 16v were the same as vr6 (70l) thought I had best check still very new to corrados :)

He sells both sizes,make sure you get the 70l ones,

He used to have a pic of my straps on my car,advertising them,wouldn't had been so bad,but I made mine,and he didn't ask my permission to use my car in the ad !

 

There is nothing wrong with the ones he sells,he's sold enough of them

Brill will get some ordered later,needed to make sure the 94 16v had the 70l tank...what years do you class early and late models out of Interest

Your straps must have looked good for him to use the PIC at least :)

Mine (used to be) a 92 valver,and mines got a 70l tank

Mine couldn't be a much later model being 94

The eBay stainless straps come with stainless bolts but not the bracket. If yours is rotten, you need one of these;
