Grrrrallye 0 Posted October 23, 2014 I have the car in the body shop. The guys have it all primed except the boot lid as they cant lift/remove the spoiler. As the motor works, but is not currently powered, does any one know what wires I need to apply power (assuming 12V) in order to drive the motor up so it can be removed. Failing that I believe there is a manual handle in the boot panel, does anyone have a picture / description I can pass onto the body shop Thanks
Roger Chatfield 0 Posted October 23, 2014 Take the cover off that covers the motor, you'll see the motor and a tee shaped handle, pull on it and then twist and the spoiler will move. Rog.
clumpy1 11 Posted October 23, 2014 Well lucky for you I just happened to have a spoiler mechanism lying around The bow shaped piece is the handle for manual operation I've pointed it out for you. Tell the dude's at body shop it need's to be pulled out (not literally) before it will raise the spoiler when turned hope this help's. Roger Chatfield 0 Posted October 23, 2014 Just found this online: Thats what you will see when you remove the cover, just pull the handle out (bit in the middle) and twist, the spoiler will raise. EDIT... beaten to it...lol Rog.
