Gear box oil change time - what capacity and what's recommended?

Recommended Posts

Gonna change my gearbox oil soon and don't know how many bottles I'll need.

I was looking at Redline MT-90 as some swear by it, but it comes in quarts and don't know if I'll need 2 or 3 bottles.

Any help would be appreciated.

Stuart.

2 bottles required takes about 1.5 litres.... I used castrol transaxle when I did my VR.

Have a look at the wiki for a how too guide.

1.5 litres when it's in the car or 1.9 if you empty it all. I've used fully synth 75W-90 to good effect.

it Smells strange so don't get drenched in it as it won't go down well with friends family etc!

I went for Mt90 after reading advice on here, seems ok to me.
