G60 Tensioner belt refitting

Hi all,

 

I am trying to put the tensioning spring (shock) back on my g60, but I am having problems getting it back on.

Is there a simple way to compress, adjust the tensioner so i can fit the spring back on?

 

Any advice gladly recieved

some people use a caulking gun to compress it , theres also been a fella on the forums making a tool

 

i just put a rag over it and heave down

Have a look at the stick guide futher up on here, for removing the supercharger. There is video at the end, which shows how to do it with a simple spanner.

Brute force is the only way if you don't have the right tool. Just get a spanner on it and push down. Be careful that it does not slip though as you could do some damage to yourself
