VEEDUBBED 0 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) Right chimps, How much are you lot paying on your annual road tax? Any difference between a Vr6 and 1.8 16valver? I have to pay, every year, without fail E420.. God help you if you own a 2.9 Vr6 as here in Italy road tax is based on engine cc.. My corrado hasn't moved a wheel in nearly 6 years, been sitting in my private garage since '09 minus engine. SORN it i hear you say? yeah, shame that here it don't exist so whether it's on the road or off the Italian governing scumbags could'nt give a flyin fuk.. you pay regardless!! Effing absurd law, my corrado in six years has cost me nearly E3000 Euro in road tax alone WITHOUT ITS WHEELS TOUCHING PUBLIC ROADS!!!! seanl82 23 Posted January 11, 2015 Cars registered before 1st March 2001 were priced on engine size. Anything 1.6 litre and above is £230 PA. So in answer to your question, no. All Corrados are the same. Anything after March 2001 is based on emissions
Jim 2 Posted January 11, 2015 They also re-revised road tax again in 2006, so if you happen to have an R32 Golf registered during or after 2006, you'll be paying £485 or €620 per year. For reference the road tax on a Lamborghini Murcielago of the same age or an Audi R8 5.2 V10 is only £500... so running an R32 of that era seems quite unattractive purely from a road tax point of view!
