Selling Corrado storm

Recommended Posts

Feel very sad to write this topic but am considering selling my Corrado Storm mystic blue, been sat in brother garage just wondered what sort of money I would get for her as it's got 140 on clock bodywork fairly good no rust she has no mods etc totally original has mot, leathers are in good condition no rips or worn bolsters, runs and drives as it should, bad bits sunroof needs new set of rollers,

Any idea on what price I should list her for

Service history? Receipts for work? Chains done? number of owners?

There are a huge amount of variables that affect the price. More info is needed than this I'm afraid. If you put some pictures up of the car with close ups of interior, exterior and engine bay, you're more likely to get a accurate value, and certainly more likely to get a decent price at sale.

Look on ebay, gumtree, pistonheads, Autotrader, etc etc, and on here for cars similar to yours. That'll give you an idea of what to expect.

She has full service history mainly dealer and vw specialists including original wallet have receipts and bills also work done at stealth racing, engine sounds healthy and pulls in every gear with no strange noises, bodywork is good for its age as I've seen a lot worser one out, spoiler and all electrics work as they should should apart from sunroof, bodywork is in fairly good condition could do with rear bumper spraying as it's got a little graze, just was really thinking should I keep her as I've got quite a few cars now and Corrado is one which is the least I drive so was thinking I would rather adviser her on here rather than eBay but hopefully should get some photos of her 2mrw

So you must have an idea of what they sell for. Advertise it honestly on here for the price you want and see what happens

Yep, You've paid 6k because of very low mileage.

Think it will stay fairly low as don't think I will do no more than 5k per year - I use for work every other day as get lift with mate most days - and work is only 2 miles away - and of course a bit at weekends - very happy with her mind - superb to drive - never have stereo on despite loving music - the sound of the engine is music enough!

I agree but you just need an enthusiast with deep pockets I paid over £4k last year and was prepared to pay a lot more for a low mileage one. Problem is there is a small gene pool of buyers imo. Must admit my experience is a lot of potential buyers want something for nothing (or maybe I am too biased).

I never understand trying to sell in January. Everyone's spent out over Xmas, the weather is cr@p, it's dark and cold so not exactly ideal conditions for windows down, sunroof open Corrado driving.
