timmaaah 0 Posted February 11, 2015 Not quite sure which sub-forum this should go tbh. I've noticed a vibration under medium/heavy load in the Corrado - you can feel it in the seats and through the steering wheel. It's especially noticeable at 50mph upwards in third, fourth and fifth, but I *think* first and second do it too. It doesn't do it under neutral throttle, only medium to heavy acceleration. Can't feel it on over-run, but that's not to say it's not happening though. Any ideas? Gearbox mount replaced 2 years ago (genuine vw replacement) and the other two bushed with polyurethane replacements at about the same time. All wheel nuts tight and pressures all correct. Any ideas? Cheers :)
Dan7690 10 Posted February 12, 2015 Have you tried balancing up your wheels?
HummuH 10 Posted February 12, 2015 Could be a number of things, check the easy ones first: Wheel Balance? Out of shape tyre? (will be visible on balancing machine) Play in bearings? Drive shaft's running true? Wishbones and ball joints look OK? Excess play in CV joints or drive flange? Sticking caliper? Engine / gearbox mounts all tight? timmaaah 0 Posted February 17, 2015 Ok, thanks - I'll get theses looked at when I get a spare weekend. Front and rear tyres replaced fairly recently, but I suppose balance weights can fall off lol. Wullie - balance weight on the driveshaft? wossat? Cheers :)

I've always chopped mine off and run without them.
