MZpog 10 Posted February 16, 2015 Did a swap of my tilt only sunroof for a Passat moon roof and must say I like it lots. The swap required me to use my old motor (4 pin plug) rather than the Passat motor (6 pin plug) and whilst it works fine it seems a little slow when closing the slide. Is there a way to rewire the 6 pin motor to 4 pin to see if this is any quicker? If not what sort of grease/lube should I use on the runners? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Chuggs1 10 Posted February 24, 2015 Just read this thread and thought to keep my sunroof working its work me greasing it - its still the original roof - found the part number for the VW grease -G-000-450-02 although I cant find it on line anywhere in the UK - not tried VW yet (last resort) - do any other greases work - I have read NOT to use Lithium. Would a silicone based grease be OK? A si know plumbers use this and I have heard it being used on cars and its defo cheaper that I believe the VW stuff is?
