Correct Oil filter

Does anyone know the correct oil filter part number for the VR6. year is 1995. Ordering from VW.

Thanks a lot guys.

Priced vw synta 10/40w, today from local VW dealer, price was £20.27p for 5 litres will be going with this.

Also will be buying for the rocco as well while i'm at it.

I don't use opieoils if i can avoid them.

 

Why is that mate? I've used them in the past with no issues but handy to know if there are reasons not to.

Not quite, I buy genuine from VW, they aren't that expensive really.

I've got a spare tub of 10/40 synta with about 4.5 l left in it if you want that Ray?

Think i'll go with VW filter, as i need to go for the new sump washer and oil (synta 10/40w) .

I take it there will be a new oil seal in for the filter housing supplied with the new filter?

 

Note: I've looked in my tool kit and don't have a 36mm socket, has anyone used anything else like adjustable spanner to loosen the filter housing?

I have socket you can borrow if you want Ray. Also the o ring is supplied with filter :)

New oil and filter change today.

Big thanks to Chris today for your help :thumbleft:

 

Note: Must mention the blast in Chris's (Vag Hags) turbo beast was shall we say eye opening. Even though everything was blurred. :cool:
