Wullie 1 Posted July 3, 2015 eos is the german spelling for "leaks like a seive." - avoid. Just been looking at the links above and it does appear that the roof can be a major problem. Had a bit of a flashback moment to the C when someone complained about the headlights.
VAG-hag 0 Posted July 3, 2015 I really like how they look and its a golf so is mostly sound.... but yes they all leak. Get him a 'rado :)
Thursdave 10 Posted July 4, 2015 Just been looking at the links above and it does appear that the roof can be a major problem. Had a bit of a flashback moment to the C when someone complained about the headlights. One of the things I've learnt working in a VW garage is that Eos's leak. It's just what they do. If he's set on a convertible, a golf cab would be a much better choice - for some reason they leak a lot less!
Wullie 1 Posted July 6, 2015 Thanks guys for the comments. He's decided against the Eos. He has also decided against a Corrado, says he doesn't want to turn into his father, lying in the driveway most weekends all oily alternately cursing, weeping and cheering. Don't know where he got that idea.
