possible defective new tyres?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

About 3 weeks ago I got some new hankook k120's fitted on the front of the rado

L

Can't remember when I noticed it but not too long after I've started too notice clicking/ticking noise coming from the drivers front, when going very slow like in traffic it makes a slightly different sound like a squeak (hard to discribe).

Any way I've found out it's the tyre/wheel, now it's removed and in on my spare the noise is gone.

Just wondered if any one has had a similar problem?

Kyle

Kyle, do you have a larger brake setup? I only ask, as I had a ticking noise after having new tyres, and it turned out Protyre had put the weights in direct rotation to the closest part of the caliper, and it was catching ever so slightly. Worth a try mate.

Sean.

If you jack it up and spin the wheel by hand is the noise still there? If you swap that wheel to the rear does the noise move with it aswell?

Hi guys

For any one that's interested, I took the car back to tyre shop and they swapped front to back (on the noisy side) and re-balenced them and this solved the noise.

No idea how but it worked lol
