GrahamU 6 Posted September 23, 2015 Being in the automotive design industry we had a 2 hour presentation on compliance to the legal legislation today. To be honest I really wasn't looking forward to it but it turned out to be quite interesting. Of course the whole VW/Bosch genius emissions control came into it, and it is genius how they did it, even if wrong but there was also alot covered about the GM deathly ignition switch issue. Its quite scary how an ignition switch has caused 153 alleged deaths purely because the turning torque was to low, even more scary is that the decisions were made by one man who choose to cover it up even when people started dying. more info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_General_Motors_recall and loads more info if you google it. I was quite surprised I hadn't heard about it before.
