spoier 0 Posted June 28, 2004 Put the car up on jack stands today and changed the rod bearings This is what they look like after 210,000 miles I'm sure they are the originals, no oil hole. Actually better than I expected considering. 3000 rpm rattle is almost completely gone now, should be good for another 50k miles or so hahah. Old bearings were 7/10 thou worn compared to new. Most wear on the top bearings, some copper showing Oil pressure is now up to acceptable levels now .... just under 2 bar at idle and over 4 bar at 3000 rpm. Much better than before. Long weekend road trip coming up to the mountains soon! Skye
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 28, 2004 Nice work! They look in pretty good shape considering their age. How long did it take you?
spoier 0 Posted June 28, 2004 About 6 hours plus some breaks. That includes cleaning and painting the oil pan as well :D Skye
