Two 1.8 16'vs?

Recommended Posts

Just doing the usual "whittle away the last hour of the day" on ebay, and have come across a set of plugs. The auction says they are suitable for (amongst others) -

corrado 1800cc 133bhp 16V 4/89-7/92

corrado 1800cc 139bhp 16V 4/89-7/92

Where there two types of valver produced in this time period? I'm all confused.

TIA

hmmmm........the only thing i can think of is perhaps in other C markets the lower output was for Cat equipped ones.....but i was always under the impression that the 1.8 16v was never cat-equipped :?: :? :? :?: :?: :?:

Yeah, that's what I though too. The cat was only introduced on the 2.0L 16'vs - the high displacement there in order to compensate for the cat. Meeee-ow.

Odd huh? Oh well, I'm putting it down to over zealous auctioneering.

1.8 16Vs CAN'T run a cat due to having no Lambda sensor... if you stuck a cat on it, it'd be knackered in a few miles of driving! :?
