robrado974 1 Posted November 3, 2015 Ive never had heated seats ,I purchased my storm interior years ago but have never got round to fitting a loom , so forgive my ignorance . I believe it lives behind the door card . Im only wondering , as ive got a loom coming soon and i need to get it fitted . Why does it not go under the carpet by the tunnel and travel up to the switch and the fuse box ?.
MZpog 10 Posted November 4, 2015 The loom feed comes from the fuse up to the switch in the dash. From there it makes its way over/behind the glovebox and picks up its earth point on the side of the passenger foot well, by the ABS ECU. The wires then clip into the loom ties up the side of the inner sill to the other side of the lump under the seat where it splits to feed the seats (wire goes in clips, over the tunnel and the plugs go through the holes in the carpet) and the remaining relay block wiring continues up the inner sill to its final resting place. The biggest hassle of the fitting picking up a live from the fuse box.
