Early car with late wings

Recommended Posts

I have a early 16v and it has been converted to late spec running gear (wide tracked) just wondering how bad will it look with late spec wings fitted to it. Will they even fit? I currently have d90s with 25mm adaptors and cant go very low at all. I havent tried rolling yet. Any info would help alot. Thanks.

Just put late wings on my 1991 G60 (not G60 anymore though). Everything sits ok. Do need to make some minor tweaks, but looks great.

Here's a photo:

Does look smart. Yours has a late front end. I would like to keep early front end just wider wings if possible.

The most noticeable part is the bonnet gap, everything else will fit but you can spot the bonnet gap a mile off

The problem will be, the bumper won't line up with the wings.

Agree the bonnet gap isn't right, but that's mainly as it's not been put back together properly by then bodyshop. Something for me to fit in due course, all addressable though.

I can't quite see from the photo's but is that a late spec (hump type) bonnet will? Looks like you've got a full late spec front end which will fit fine. I'll eat my words if thats an early bonnet as that looks fine! I have seen a few corrado's with early spec wings on late spec cars, in fact I've seen a few with both an early and late spec wing and in the flesh it is noticeable as I said, suppose it might just be that they weren't fitted right as you say will
