massbad69 10 Posted June 29, 2016 Hi Just a quick one regarding the rear axle bushes. I was going to get Febi bushes but checked with VW for the cost of theirs. Are the Febi bushes decent enough as they are around £20 the pair whereas VW want £110 for a pair. I'm not going down the Poly route. Thanks
fendervg 33 Posted June 29, 2016 I got the VW ones from Germany for about €50 each. VW items are better IMHO. While Febi/Bilstein/Lemforder manufacture parts for VW and also sell their own versions, the quality of the rubber and the metal in the VAG items appears to be better than the others I've seen. It's not a job you'll want to do again for at least another 80K miles!
massbad69 10 Posted June 29, 2016 Thanks for that. I usually quite happily buy Febi etc but just wanted to check. Cheers
Rado87 10 Posted July 12, 2016 I used a febi kit that came complete with both bushes and bolts and nuts. I found them very good quality and good value at only 25ish. I also changed the pressure regulator for the rear brakes, got that of Ebay for 65 quid whereas VW wanted over 200!
fendervg 33 Posted July 12, 2016 VAG charge around €40 for each rear beam bush.

massbad69 10 Posted July 12, 2016 Cheers guys VW are £110 now but I've not had a reply since asking them to order them for me, so if I don't hear from them soon, I will then decide which ones to buy.
fendervg 33 Posted July 12, 2016 I just bought them straight from Germany. No problems.
massbad69 10 Posted July 12, 2016 Cheers for that Bizarrely I've just found out my local VW dealer has been bought over so that's why I've not had a reply.
