vw wishbones include the bushes :)

the gsf ones have lower quality rubber and wear out quicker tho they do ones without bushes so you could get those and fit poly bushes as i have :wink:

£633 is a lot of money to me - regardless of how much work was done.

 

I must now change both wishbones and the "big" part of my exhaust (apparently) has a hole in it, and is not secured properly. SSteel one? Any recommendations where to get it?

 

All of this will take the bill over £1K - "hefty".

 

Any recommendations on SS exhaust systems welcome.

 

 

What were their reasons for telling you to change the wishbones?, are they bent?, cant you just change the bushes?, thats the part that wears out

They said it was a pain to change the wishbone bushes and to do the whole unit...

..and that came from 3 garages !

corner weighting is basically where they stick 4 sets of scales under the wheels of the car, and adjust the coil over suspension so that a specific percentage of the weight is on each wheel....

 

Normally on a front wheel drive car, you have a 50/50 split side to side and around 55/45 front to rear.... this is done WITH the driver in the car to ensure that you have a perfect balance set into your suspension while you are driving... 8)

 

You can REALLY feel the difference in the handling once this has been done.. 8)
