edd 0 Posted October 2, 2016 Apologies if this is an odd or obvious question. I have a rear beam all stripped down ready for blasting and powder coating. Are there any areas that should not be coated I.e the rear stub axle mating point and the inside face where the rear beam bushes slide in to. Same goes with rear calliper carriers, should the mating surface be coated? Edd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
robrado974 1 Posted October 2, 2016 (edited) Got it in one Edd. No mating areas can be coated. I had to touch mine back in with paint as it was tight for the suspension arms , a little to thick in those areas . As soon as I picked mine up after powder coating, I got it home and applied grease to the untouched flats where the stub axles fit , to stop it going rusty.
