MZpog 10 Posted October 5, 2016 After my recent alarm woes, I was reminded that my door locks don't match the ignition or boot. Whilst this isn't a problem, I thought I'd have a go at re-tumbling the locks so all match and looking at the guide (http://wiki.the-corrado.net/re_tumbing_locks.html) it seems pretty straight forward (I hope it is) So before I attempt to tackle this, does anyone have any spare tumblers they want to sell me as I don't fancy shelling out £40 for a huge bag of them from the stealers. Don't know how many I'll need to do the door locks. Let me know costs. It was mid 30's in Rome when I visited and despite melting, I found it one the best capital I've visited......I need to go back. MZpog 10 Posted October 5, 2016 I've got a selection at work if postage from Veedubbed doesn't work out. Cheers fella. I wouldn't mind a new key at the same time - are these best cut from the code (that I don't have) or just by copying the key?
Thursdave 10 Posted October 5, 2016 best by just copying the key.
VEEDUBBED 0 Posted October 5, 2016 Get them off Thursdave pog, you can have the little buggers for Free but it's the postage that stings, minium €10, ain't worth it.. Thursdave, all yours mate.
MZpog 10 Posted October 6, 2016 Cheers anyway. Dave, PM on it's way.
tman2714 0 Posted January 4, 2017 Hey Thursdave and VEEDUBBED, Bit cheeky but any chance you have more of the tumblers left over you could send me? Obviously will pay for them and postage if you do. Thanks, T
MZpog 10 Posted January 4, 2017 Hey Thursdave and VEEDUBBED, Bit cheeky but any chance you have more of the tumblers left over you could send me? Obviously will pay for them and postage if you do. Thanks, T I have loads of them left as Dave provided a very comprehensive pack of them for not much cash. I'd happily re-tumble anyone's locks for them for cider tokens, but it's dead easy to do. VEEDUBBED 0 Posted January 4, 2017 I'll try and get down to the garage tomorrow morning mate, ankle permitting..
VEEDUBBED 0 Posted January 4, 2017 Pog, how are the little buggers put back in? I lost patience and filed all of 'em..
MZpog 10 Posted January 4, 2017 Pog, how are the little buggers put back in? I lost patience and filed all of 'em.. I only did my door lock but they just sat in on a spring. You know when you've the right one as they're all flush when the key is inserted. Suppose if your key was a little worn then a bit of filing might be required. tman2714 0 Posted January 4, 2017 That would be awesome VEEDUBBED. Thanks very much. Cheers for the offer MZpog - if I can get hold of the bits I'd like to give it a go myself!
VEEDUBBED 0 Posted January 6, 2017 I found about ten, all different numbers, is that enough? Let me know if you need more otherwise I'll send you them asap.
tman2714 0 Posted January 7, 2017 Brilliant thanks. I'm not actually sure how many I need. That should be enough to do one side at least. I'll send you a PM
MZpog 10 Posted January 9, 2017 Brilliant thanks. I'm not actually sure how many I need. That should be enough to do one side at least. I'll send you a PM From memory the lock has 7 tumblers made up of a combination of numbers 1-4 so you may find that 10 isn't enough. Trial/error will get the code you need if you don't already know it. I have spares if you need any specific numbers.
