I toyed with that idea when I did mine, but wasn't sure if it'd look good or not... You've proved that it DOES look very cool... 8) Nice one! :D

Does anyone know what spec the normal lights are for the dash and can you upgrade them to give a higher output? If you replace the lights with LED's which will only work on and off what LEDS have people used and from where.

Cheers

LED's dont just work on and off the normal dash dimmer still works with them 8) .

the rgb leds i got where from ebay as they where half the price of the ones from rs components and quarter of the price of the ones from maplin and they arrive within two days 8) .

yeah, it's a common mis-conception that you can't dim the brightness of an LED.... you can in exactly the same was as you'd dim a lightbulb... 8)

yep the only difference with an led is that it lights instantly when you power it up and turns off instantly when you remove its supply unlike an incandescant bulb which fades on and fades off leds also use much less power 8)

i dremmeled the original bulb holders for the leds to fit as you cant buy the rgb leds in a holder as they have four wires to each led

tonight was the first time i have seen them while its properly dark and i think they look great

the red digi looks like a 1980's casio led watch very retro 8)
