Henny 0 Posted July 12, 2004 Oil Pressure... can't remember which one though as I haven't got any details like that at work... although I'm pretty sure it's the higher value one...

G60Dan 0 Posted July 12, 2004 Cheers Lads Ok, next question..... If this was faulty, what would be the symptoms?
andycowuk 0 Posted July 12, 2004 low pressure buzzer and or warning light.
h100vw 0 Posted July 12, 2004 The low oil pressure switch turns the oil pressure light on the dash off. The 1.8 BAR switch checks for 1.8 BAR of pressure at about 2000-2500 revs, if there isn't 1.8 BAR the buzzer and light come on. Gavin

kongo127 0 Posted July 12, 2004 My charger´s oil feed hose got blocked. Nothing happened in the dash. :? No buzzer sound and no lights came on. I am thinking to place this oil sensor switch on the other side of the oil feed hose, just next to the charger. Isn´t it better? At least i will know when the charger is not receiving oil... And i wont mess up my charger again! (it is still being rebuilted). :(
h100vw 0 Posted July 12, 2004 I don't know that you'll find much pressure there as it is supposed to drain under gravity. Just make sure you fit a new supply hose and that the return is clean. Gavin
kongo127 0 Posted July 12, 2004 Thanks Gavin! :D My idea is to place the sensor in the same hose. Just to place it on the other side of the oil feed hose. The pressure must be the same acording to physics. :-P I need to do it or i will always drive worried...
