Advice re intermittent cutting out

Hi , new to the forum as taking over my daughter's vr6 with a view to restoration / updating .she had a problem recently with the car stopping after 10 mins or so and then restarting for a further short period ?did usual checks , renewed fuel filter , checked fuel pump ,replaced crank position sensor eventually diagnosed after much head scratching by as faulty coil pack .This had not been suspected as new Meyle coil had been fitted 6 months previously .Car restarted when coil was cooled with water and new coil has fixed prob .

This might be worth considering if you get similar prob .
