Eug 0 Posted July 13, 2004 Can someone explain this ... Sometimes when I turn the ignition to ON and press the clutch slightly, I can hear an on/off clicking sound coming from behind the glovebox. It's the same noise as the indicator relay makes when it's flashing. Car still starts fine :?:
dazzyvr6 0 Posted July 13, 2004 there are relays behind the glovebox, think they are for the abs but dont quote me on that
Eug 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Could anyone suggest as to which relay could be the culprit ? If there was a fault would VAG-Com pick it up ?
dazzyvr6 0 Posted July 14, 2004 probably not a fault, just the abs setting itself up,if it were a fault then the abs might come on
kongo127 0 Posted July 17, 2004 That relay sound is normal in ABS cars. My G60 does exactly the same at startup. And in the traffic too! When i am pressing the brake pedal for too long... Don´t worry mate! 8)
Supercharged 2 Posted July 17, 2004 Hmm... I havn't noticed it on mine, it might be a slight fault or one of those things that alot of people get so we think its a 'feature' I'd be temped to change the ABS realy (about £7) and see if it goes away....
