Replacement engine parts for Corrado VR6 Storm

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Unfortunately whilst having a fast idle test for MOT, some ducting in the engine ignited. It was put out quickly but I have sustained damage to the air intake ducting, feeder pipes, wiring and sensors. Now my problem is attempting to locate replacement parts - I have a complete list of what is required but no joy sourcing so far - can members here provide any clues?

Cheers

James

I've got an injection loom left over mate, 19.000km only..

Along with injectors, rail, inlet manifold, rubber intake boot, thermostat housing with sensors..

Let me know if you need anything.

Well it has ony taken me 4 months to get her back on the road, but back on the road she is and growling nicely. All parts supplied by g60knight - my eternal thanks to that man. Incidentally Fast Road Conversions who manufactured my exhaust and checked her out when running agaijn, identifed a faulty HT lead which was causing a misfire, fuel igniting in the manifoild which made her run hot and ultimately ignited the air intake inducting above the manifold during the fast idle test.

So Caffyns Brighton, MOT'd a misfiring car and when it failed the emissions test (surprise, surprise) then decided to run a fast idle test - is this incompetence to a new level?

Cheers

James
