mandipvirdi 10 Posted August 2, 2017 Hi all, Im new to the world of Corrados, so apologies if this has been covered before. I purchased my corrado yesterday and found an issue with the heating. When i switch the knob on up to 3 there is no change in the air output, it is just when you turn to 4 that you get maximum air. Also the heating itself doesn't adjust when you turn the temperature gauge as you go down, its either hot or cold, no in between if that makes sense? Any help would be very much appreciated!!! Im from the west midlands so if anyone is from around there and wants to pop down and have a look by all means feel free!
Philly-R6 0 Posted August 2, 2017 There is a wiki article describing how to fix your fan problem: http://wiki.the-corrado.net/fan_speed_thermal_fuse_repair.html The temperature control can be down to something broken in the dials (maybe the control arm?), the cable that moves the flap in the air distribution housing - or the heater matrix is blocked? You will need to have a rummage around and see... Just remember most problems have already been documented on here, so searching is your friend! mandipvirdi 10 Posted August 2, 2017 Thanks for your quick response! Yes i see that, its hard to determine with some of my other issues if others have had similar problems or not. Always seem to be slightly different. I realised the fan sticky at the top of this section after i posted! LOL
fla 9 Posted August 2, 2017 (edited) Have you checked the thermal fuse? If your car has aircon it will be at the top of the fan housing under the lhs of the dash with the fan speed wire wound resistors (look like springs). Youll have to remive the glovebox and you'll see a loom with yellow wires going to the top left of the dash. If its non aircon then i think its in the body of the fan Here you just need to drop the passenger side under tray.
