Trilidon 0 Posted August 2, 2004 Posting this for a friend of mine with a 91 G60 he wants to know how tough it would be to put in an slc into it. He has alot of mods to his G60 outside of the engine so doesn't want to get rid of it. Any tips/prices for him would be nice
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted August 2, 2004 I wouldn't bother, unless he specifically wants the smoothness and noise of the V6. You can get more power out of the G60 than the 2.8 engine will give for less than the cost of the conversion. BahnBrenner do some nice alternative Supercharger conversions and other bits and peices for the G60, so worth a look before he commits himself.
Trilidon 0 Posted August 2, 2004 Unlike me he has money to burn =P I think hes going for a 6 cyl turbo
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted August 2, 2004 In that case, get that VR in ASAP! You guys are lucky to have a few producers of turbo conversions over there. We have none! If he's got cash to burn, tell him to drop in a 24V engine instead of the ropey old 12V
Trilidon 0 Posted August 2, 2004 Haha, I dunno he said slc. Is the newer VR6 much harder to put in a C?
Neocorrado 0 Posted August 2, 2004 i love the VR6 i think it would be a great add on but the motor is everything but light so its gonna add on to his cars weight and it runs really hot and can be expensive so tell him to think about it, if he wants more power he can get a better supercharger :) but dont get me wrong i LOVE my VR6
