Lemon 0 Posted May 6, 2003 Hi, I have a 1989, 1.8 16v. It runs fine, revving hard upto the red line. Then stop get back in and revs to red line, but gets there ever so slowly, feels like I am pulling a trailer with ten cars on. Stop for two minutes. Start it again and it pulls like a train again? smiff 0 Posted May 14, 2003 What is the procedure for cleaning / conditioning the fuel injection system on 1.8 16V engine? O-rings? Nozzels? Jets? -Trip to a specialist? (Not just using jet cleaner in petrol! - I do this occasionally) Is it a big job? Or is there a regular easy routine that anyone uses for keeping their car running smooth?
