Linus Van Pelt 0 Posted August 7, 2004 Not sure if this is the correct terminology... Throttle on, absolutely no problem, take foot off throttle (clutch out) and car seems to splutter (slight kangaroo effect) rather than deaccelerating smoothly. Not sure, but it might be doing it on a tiny amount of throttle. Clutch in, and again there's no problem. Especially noticeable in 1st and 2nd, less so in 3rd and above. Is this a heat related thing? I did a lot of short journeys today, and my cars used to doing long ones... Sound familiar to anyone? Cheers! LvP.
Roger Blassberg 0 Posted August 15, 2004 Is it driveline "shunt" (i.e. does it lurch from throttle on to throttle off?) in which case the engine mountings may need looking at. Mine used to pop and bang on the over-run, which actually sounded quite nice. It turned out to be splits in the flexible part of the down pipe. Best wishes RB
