Immobiliser has been bypassed badly

Hi guys I've recently bought my 1995 vr6 but for some reason they've cut a wire out of the ECU and joined it to the battery with a little computer chip thing on it. Is there anyway I can get rid of this and try to get it back to how it should rather than having all these messy wires all over the engine bay?
