colinstubbs 0 Posted October 5 I'm after the bit that ducts warm air to the air box in cold weather. It bolts on the back of the exhaust manifold and I can't seem to find the correct word combination to pull it up on Google to get a number or diagram even. I stumbled across an engine on eBay to get a pic..... Please help! As a least resort I could fabricate something but I don't have anything worthy of making a pattern! Cheers in advance Colin
fendervg 33 Posted October 6 Is it on a VR6 or a G60 - it just looks like a heat shield to me - I don't think the airbox would be getting any intake from there - that comes from behind the driver's side headlight. VW Classic Parts often have these kind of odd bits still left in stock, so you could try there.
fendervg 33 Posted October 6 Could be the above - listed as a warm air deflector plate....?
colinstubbs 0 Posted October 18 Sorry for seeming rude I wasn't informed of any replies. It's actually on an early valver but yes it's a heat shield with a short hose that ducts to the air box for cold weather running....warm air deflector plate sounds good cheers 😎👍🏼
