Tinted windows and Insurance advice

Recommended Posts

Trunky wants to know when I had my windows tinted, the reason for fitting, the cost of fitting, the details on who carried out the modifications and the details on the exact percentage of tint.

Now I've got medium tint on all windows.

Add that to the already tinted standard windows makes them all appear dark.

Min light percentage for front windows is 30%.

Will they contact the previous owner if I say I bought it like that :?:

Or say I wrote to them to declare it and the letter must have gone astray :?:

Can they cancel my policy if they find out it's illegal tint :?:

Any advice appreciated.

Do you actually *know* what you combined tint comes to? I mean, in % terms, the way they measure it now?

Do you KNOW if the tint is "legal" or not?

Sadly if it's an illegal tint the car is not deemed roadworthy and you may well be in trouble mate.. :(

Not sure mate.

I *think* the light smoke passes the test.

But I've got medium smoke on all windows.

Could always rip the tint off ?

The only proof they've got is a photo I emailed to them from the forest.

And then the accident repair place took photos too and emailed them.

What to do what to do

Tell them what they want to hear ... yeah mate

That works for my job interviews ... for pulling birds ... for getting out of trouble ... 8)
