timatsorted 0 Posted August 23, 2004 Hi guys I've been told that the C's cambelt needs changing at 60k to 80k miles. But the VR6 doesn't have a cambelt does it? I thought it had a chain instead? dr_mat 0 Posted August 23, 2004 VR6 timing chain needs replacing when the tensioner wears out.. And the way to tell about that is to listen for the noise from the RHS of the engine. It clatters and is at it's worst at about 1200 rpm. Usually this is at 100k miles+, but it varies. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
