magicrat1 0 Posted August 24, 2004 :D I am happy with my 15" speedlines. I am now very happy with the Avon tyres that the bloke fitted. My VR6 is better in the wet and way better in the dry. :D Would the cornering of my VR improve if I changed my speedlines to bling 17"s", as the bloke suggested? My car is unaltered apart from a ss exhaust. I don't like neons and subs, why would i want big wheels? :?:
pablo_vr6 0 Posted August 24, 2004 they make the corrado look much better IMO. wanna buy some nice subtle one? got some for sale in the classifieds :)
jedi-knight83 0 Posted August 24, 2004 putting bigger wheel on in itself doesnt improve anything....its the lower profile tyres that would give the improved feel as there would be less sidewall flex... but it may mean a harder ride and if there big heavy wheels would mean slowness and heavy cornering.... best looking for some lightweight 16" to be honest oh just stick to the standards
stevemac 0 Posted August 24, 2004 they make the corrado look much better IMO. Agreed - I much prefer 17's 8)
Eug 0 Posted August 24, 2004 I put the TT 17" alloys on mine and boy what a difference ! It sticks to the road like a go-cart when cornering, and there is no "tyre flex" either. And yeah they look pretty 8) too !
B5VWC 0 Posted August 24, 2004 Would the cornering of my VR improve 17s change the feel of the road but coilovers & anti roll bars will sort handling you will need to lower it especially on the corrado if your going for 17s
daves16v 1 Posted August 24, 2004 What are peeps opinion on road/vibration noise when going to 17's. When I had 17's on it was just too much but could have been crap tyres. Got 16's on now and it's much better.
