Bloke at the garage recommended I go for 17" alloys?

Recommended Posts

:D I am happy with my 15" speedlines. I am now very happy with

the Avon tyres that the bloke fitted. My VR6 is better in the wet and

way better in the dry. :D

Would the cornering of my VR improve if I changed my speedlines

to bling 17"s", as the bloke suggested? My car is unaltered apart

from a ss exhaust. I don't like neons and subs, why would i

want big wheels? :?:

putting bigger wheel on in itself doesnt improve anything....its the lower profile tyres that would give the improved feel as there would be less sidewall flex... but it may mean a harder ride and if there big heavy wheels would mean slowness and heavy cornering.... best looking for some lightweight 16" to be honest oh just stick to the standards

I put the TT 17" alloys on mine and boy what a difference !

It sticks to the road like a go-cart when cornering, and there is no "tyre flex" either.

And yeah they look pretty 8) too !

17s change the feel of the road but coilovers & anti roll bars will sort handling

you will need to lower it especially on the corrado if your going for 17s

What are peeps opinion on road/vibration noise when going to 17's. When I had 17's on it was just too much but could have been crap tyres. Got 16's on now and it's much better.
