How to remove the dash??

i`m stuck on how to get the dash out!

 

i`ve removed everything i can see but it just feels stuck at the windscreen...

 

is it the metal brackets (see below) and how do i get `em off

 

:mad: bleeding knuckles!!!!!

As I understand it there are some bolts that hold the dash into the bulkhead from the other side in the engine bay! Have you had a look under there on the other side of the dash / in the scuttle tray area?

jimsG60, not yet mate, got a bit frustrated and decided to leave it till tommorow, are they visible and/or easy to get to?? (yeah right!!) :lol:

not to bad actually, u will need a dinky siocket set with a universal joint, or sinse u are breaking the car, with the wiper mech out it might not be so bad. Just two nuts, about 1/3 of the way in from either side.

 

There are aslo afew screws that hold the dash in just below where the blue and orange wires cross in the dial recess. Did you get those?? they threw me when I was taking grims dash out, cos the dont point the same way as every other screw holding the thing in!

there IS a couple of bolts in the engine bay and in the scuttle areas which hold the dash to the firewall... can't remember how many though... :|

thats so frustrating! i would`ve loved to get it all out today!!!! i`ll be back on it tomorrow!!
