Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 7, 2004 No need for a performance clutch unless the engine has been "performanced" beyond the grip levels of the stock pressure plate and disc. I think the standard unit can withstand regular doses of around 250 pounds..... any more and Mr big clutch needs to go in.

Henny 0 Posted September 7, 2004 I've got a standard VR6 clutch in my G60 with over 200Lb/FT and 240ish BHP and it's fine... 8) It's a Sachs clutch from Eurocarparts... 8)
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 7, 2004 just curious is all ;) No probs.... didn't mean to come across all "hay and mighty wire", LOL..... Just trying to save you some cash by ensuring you don't buy things you don't need
yellowslc 0 Posted September 8, 2004 I have had great luck with the OEM pressure plate and a clutchnet fiber disk. Pricing is right too.
