greegs 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Hi, does anyone know if dealers sell the wire mesh discs that fit at each end of MAF as I have just had a wee accident trying to fit induction kit ?

greegs 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Yeah the filter goes on one end but there is a wire disc at each end of MAF. But one is a bit worse for wear.

corradovr6sc 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Don't think the dealers sell them but they will sell you a new maf at £331 a throw one in for free :) It's not absolutely necessary to have one, but it makes it makes going on/off the throttle much smoother as it straightens the air out which enters the maf. You only relly need it at the airbox/airfilter end of the maf.

greegs 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Damage really just on one side and quite small. Probably over reacted but don't want any stray bits of metal flying into engine. corradovr6sc think I'll see how car runs without damaged wire mesh. pablovr6 i'll keep you in mind for your old MAF if I have any running probs. cheers guys
