dr_mat 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Hi all, Am toying with the idea of getting a CD player in the buggy, but know bugger all about ICE, so thought I'd ask you lot for advice. Don't want to spend too much (in car sounds aren't that important to me), and I don't want to have to modify anything, so ideally standard fitting (would consider speakers too but don't want to have to hack about the interior).. I'd *like* mp3 CD playback, and I'd *like* face-off (or preferably not the whole fascia, just a sub-section) for security. Also flashing lights are not important, I'm not 17 any more.. ;) Cheers, M. joebrent 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Get yourself down to Halfords and pick up a Sony CDX-S2000, there only a hundred notes and its a fairly decent stereo, and it looks quite nice too, unlike the JVC headunits that Halfords sell for similiar money! MoonlightVR 0 Posted September 19, 2004 My personal experiences of Sony haven't been that good. I'd say you're better off with Pioneer, Alpine and Panasonic. You'll be able to get a CD/MP3 with Pioneer/Panasonic from 110 quid upwards.
