The early maf which you have when unplugged will cut out the engine. On the later cars the maf is different and the engine note changes and it runs rough instead as it takes its readings from elsewhere

Hi folks i have been having issues with what i call a very slight misfire and car seems a little down on power. I have changed plugs and leads but it is still there. so it was suggested it maybe the mafs.I removed it just to have a look if anything obvious and i found that the wire mesh is breaking away ( see pic ). I know this wont affect it but wondered if this could be bought seperately.

Another question is i read people saying if you remove the plug and it still runs the same then you may have an issue as usualy it will run rough, well mine actually cuts out altogether.

* we recommend re-gapping for 'your' vehicle (.030 stock AAA) - I presume this is ment for the 2.8 VR6 (AAA) - but would guess the 2.9 ABV would be the same ?.

if you don't get results with new leads , look at the maf sensor next, swapping it over with a friends will be the quickest way to check it...

Hi Folks after a little advice, i have a very slight misfire on my VR6, I am going to start by changing ignition leads i bought some from GSF about 6 months ago and to be honest there not a good fit and difficullt to get them to clip onto sparkplug, anyway i have some Beru leads on the way ans also some NGK BKR5E plugs, what i don't know and cant seem to find on the forum is what the gap in these plugs should be. Any advice would be appreciated.

I find it hit and miss with insurance companies, i had quotes off some that were recommended on here and they were more than double what i paid next nearest was Adrian Flux at just short of £200. Classicline wouldnt even quote because of my postcode lol.

Hi ive recently insured mine on a classic policy with LV They were the cheapest by far.

Update on the Calibre Vintage alloys.Fitted this weekend had to use 10mm Hub centric spacers to clear the caliper, look nice and just sit level with the inner lip of the wheel arch.

I know what you mean about quality, but just couldnt justify the price of BBS for a car that will spend only odd weekends on the road.Im hoping i will get away with 5mm spacers. I will post the results when ive had them fitted as im sure other people have considered these Alloys. Cheers for your replies.

The et is 35 and i know it will need spacers just not sure how thick. As for quality im hoping they wont be to bad going to treat them with GTechnic and its only going to be used some weekends.

Hoping someone out there can help me out. Im about to get some 16" Calibre Vintage for my Corrado VR6,I belive i will need spacers to clear the brake caliper but i am not sure what size i will need. Anyone had these on a Rado VR6. Car has standard VR6 caliper set up.
