  1. Clearing out my garage and found some Corrado rear brake components that I never got around to using.

All these items are brand new.

Rear disks, these are made by Vetech and are 226mm in diameter.

Rear pads x 4 with new caliper bolts made by Eicher

Pair of rear wheel bearings to fit the disks, again made by Vetech

Finally a pair of rear antiroll bar bushes.

Can't remember what I paid for these now.

Will sell everything for £40 plus postage.

    These will fit the 1.8, 1.8 G60 and 2.0

    Thanks Nick

  3. I have read that the late spec grill is different to the early grill due to the 3 location lugs on the later grill.

But has anyone fitted one of these to their early cars and if so, do you have any pictures to show if it works ok?

Just worried that the lights won't line up properly or it won't won't line up with the bonnet?

Thinking of buying one from VW Heritage, but don't want to waste my money.

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

Thanks for replying to me David.

It does sound from you have said that it could be down to the WUR ( Warm up regulator) .

I replaced the fuel filter today for a new one, just to eliminate it. However it is still doing the same thing.

I will drop you a PM regarding the WUR.

  5. Hope someone can point me in the right direction with this.

I am currently restoring an early Corrado ( 91 J PLate ) it is a 1.8 16v with the KR engine.

It had been stood for about 4 years before I got my hands on it and it was dead as a dodo at the time.

I have replaced both fuel pumps and some fuel lines on the car. I then managed to get it to start, but it ran aweful!

I have since put a new distributer and rotor arm on, new spark plugs and new airfilter.

The car now starts and sounds lovely. ( There was a blow from the exhaust, but replaced the damaged the mid section with a brand new part)

It will start first time and sit at idle and sound perfect. But when I dip the accelerator pedal it is bogging down and lumpy.

However once the engine is warm, it runs perfect as it should.

My first though was avacuum leak, but all the hoses are fine. The ISV is sounding on start up and yet I removed it and cleaned it anyway and this is all free moving inside from what I can see.

There are various vacuums around the airbox on the car, so was wondering if these had any relevance on the cold start issue.

The only two things I havedone yet is to replace the injectors or the fuel filter, but these would surely cause a running issue all the time and not just when cold.

Does anyone have ideas I could try please?

    Thanks.

  7. I know this may be a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone was breaking an Inca Blue Corrado?

I have one that needs a drivers side front wing and bonnet. ( Early model)

So if anyone has one then please let me know, plus I am happy to travel to collect.

    Thanks Nick

  8. Hi,

Just joined the forum as I picked up a "J" reg 1991 1.8 16v Corrado.

It needs a hell of a lot of work, but I was looking for a project for the summer. ( I have a Nissan Murano for my daily driver )

It has been stored in a yard for over 3 years now. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or marks on the seats. ( It just has some mould that needs cleaning up ) The speaker grill on the drivers side is missing.

I believe that the colour is Inca Blue which is quite rare ( Correct me if I am wrong ).

The body work needs a front end respray as the drivers side wing is perished and the laquer has gone on the bonnet and the NS front wing.

I also need two caps for the original alloys. They are the sebring wheels. If anyone has a pair then please let me know.

I will upload some pictures and hopefully stick around and get some advise and update as the Corrado progresses.
