ok guys replaced heater matrix, got rid of bypass valves car heats up lovely heater is ROASTIN . only thing is screen gets oily residue while heater is on car seems to get a bit steamy inside, ive just read a post about washing new matrix to remove protective coating(which i didnt do) could this be the cause of my symptoms or i have i put i a "new" damaged matrix. help!!!

found out my 16v is gushing out oil from the area of the oil filter housing, any one know if there is a gasket around there that might have gone or ant ideas what it could be ?

hi all im after some help basicly the heater in my 16v is pants it gives out very little if any heat. im not overly technical but ill give it a go where should i start checkin. i think thermostat is worrkin ok but i have ordered a new one. the control flaps seem to be changing , it does have two bypass valves ( one metal one plastic) ive heard about drillin out these valves??? should i flush the matrix or just replace it?? any advice u guys can give would be appreciated coz it aint much fun drivin a cold corrado. :(

decided to try fixed pulley 027121031 cost £18 can anyone think if it will cause any damage ? must admit it is really nice to have my c not sounding like a rattling bag o bolts.

my pulley on way out aswell :( has anyone sorted out what is needed & part numbers to do this mod i would be really interested thanks

BRILLIANT! recieved my repair kits easy to fit (about 15 mins) nicely made,alot of thought gone into the design,works perfectly,dave 16v your a legend.cheers dude :D

hi guys on my 16v ive found the source of a rattle its a guide pulley near the water pump ithink it should have brass discs inside itbecause i found part of one when i took it apart. does anyone know if you can buy the rings seperate or do you have to buy the whole pulley

thanks for the comments guys i didnt expect it would be to many peoples taste i appreciate your honesty, ive still got a few changes to make to it and even then it might not stay on if it dosent look right im not a total barbarian, the comment about "thick paint" was ok coz it aint finished yet, but "corsa brigade" cut deep ive been a dub head all my driving life, im just prepaired to try something a bit different

hi guys have changed the front end of my valver a bit and was wondering what you lot think, its not finished yet but you get the picture

mine does the same replaced the water pump it cured it a bit but noticed there is a pulley (i think its a guide pulley) with a brass bearing that rattles about, maybe check that
