Like an idiot i have gone and put too much oil in my Car... I discovered this when i started to loose power-Boost..... In trying to drain it, but not having any luck... Please please can somone point my in the right direction??? Cheers Matt

Hi all, i have a mate who has a g60 and he swears that you can get a dump valve fitted, i have looked all over the internet and can only find valves for turbo's. any help would be great. Cheers

Cheers, i have had a look and cant see any sign of oil or anything, as the car gets hotter its starts to produce a little bit of white steam/smoke. to be honest dont know my way round an engine very well, the other day i sprayed some wd40 on the bit where the throttle cable goes...

Hi all, slight problem with my G60, when i run the engine for a couple of mins i get a burning smell, sort of like rubber smell..... it is coming from around the area where the throttle is... i think. the car had a new engine mount last week could it be that or anything related. any ideas would be great. Thanks all for your info, not really wanting to spend in the region of £500 upwards. Might consider trying to get a mk3 gearbox but if its gonna cost too much ill stick with what i have, am totaly happy with the 3rd gear as it really shoots up to 80, just on the bottom end some cars have pulled away a bit more than i would like........

would this cost much, and how much of an improvement would i get? thanks for the reply

Can anyone tell me how much hassle it would be to change the 1st and second gear from my g60 for Vr6 1st and 2nd. also how much it would cost? Thanks

just had mine done on my g60, cost £100 including fitting......... how long do u think it will last

its oil leaking, only a tiny bit over time though. Jabbasport said £85 to get it fixed. gonna try sell the car as is but if i have to get it done i will do when i get paid. insurance is just too much for me.

Thanks everyone for your help, i think ill give g-works a call when i get paid. any ideas on how much power i wouild be loosing and if that rs could have beaten me?

i could get it removed i guess, but how long to u think the car would be out of action?

They dont seem to care about G60's at all. i asked if i could make it faster and the guy said there is nothing more i can really do to it. my mate went in the other day and got his skoda fabia rs chipped and they treated him like royalty..... a few years ago they were really helpful and friendly but now dont seem to care. only thing with then is they are just down the road from me and g-works is about 200 miles away.....

its not under warantee im afraid, jabba said its about £85 to get it fixed, just gotta wait until payday top get it tunned and fixed.
