I wonder if anyone can help me, I am on the lastleg of breaking my G60 and have had so many people asking me for the engine loom and fusebox intact with all relay's etc, but I am unsure of what price on put on it, can anyone give me any guide as to what they are worth? Cheers

check and re check connections to the temp senders on the right hand end of the cylinder head there are three, two have lucar connectors, the other is a two terminal plug.

Not sure if I'm putting this in the best sector but I was wondering what the best insurance company is for my G60 as it has now become second car and will only be travelling2-3k at the most every year now(summer only) I have had it with Elephant for 6 years now and they are not interested still want £588 bearing in mind I'm 32 no points and have never made a claim.

Any ideas on the part number for the space invader type rubber mounts for the exhaust on a 92 g60, I have tried my local allparts and the effort he gave me was about 1 inch to fat and 3 inch's to small, stealers here I come. cheers Del G60

Hi all on jumping in my car (92 G60) this evening my handbrake light is on, but dimley when I am driving, any ideas before I get amongst it in the morning, no other lights are on at all, could it be something so simple as brake fluid or is there something else I should be looking for???

Not the clutch as that was only one month old before it was off the road,as for things that have changed I have always kept it pretty much standard but when I had the charger out I replaced water pump, all belts and tensioners k @ n panel filter with a cold air feed to the airbox, new crank bolt of course, And then came the task of the m.o.t bearing in mind it had been outside for the year and a half and not in a garage and where I live is cold and wet highest point in the chiltern hills, took it to the m.o.t station and it sailed through with only one advisory for next year rear offside wishbone bush,so my 88,000 blackbury beauty lives to fight another day going to run her for the summer and strip and get her painted in the winter, also it is a 92 g60 so I am right in assuming it would be a electronic speedo???

I have just got my G60 back on the road after a year and a half of taking bits off and getting things mended which were well overdue and now when driving the speedo reaches 60 mph at about 2300 revs and as I accelerate a bit more it drops down to give a reading of 50 mph, revs then climb and it starts to increase again but it is obviously not a true reading,I can't boot it to see if it goes through this as I am still running the supercharger in any ideas???

Did you tap into the brake duct or just run it to the bottom of the bumper somewhere?
-
can someone please advise me on where to get some pipe to run into the bottom of my airbox as i have tried all the merchants etc and all anyone has to offer is 100mm which is to big to go through the c/c hole also any ideas on what would be the best size i was thinking about 70mm Post de'capped. Please turn off your Caps Lock --Andi

My tensioner was shot but on first inspection I thought it was the water pump as when I removed it and cracked it open and the impellor had been fouling on the housing and this is what I think caused the high pitched sqealing sound so I replaced this £12 gsf and while it was off I had supercharger overhaul so I did all belts and tensioner as well, when removed and spun by hand it felt like it was a dry bearing so I am unsure which one it was but no noise any more for not alot of money.

I have a jamex panel air filter and it needs a desparate clean before it goes back in I know I have to buy some special oil cleaning fluid but someone has also suggested that I soak the filter in petrol before doing this, can someone give me some guidelines on what is the best method for carrying this out and how I should go about it. Cheers Del

not the end of the world to change the pump yourself,if you know your way round the engine, pump and belts, coolant should come to no more than £35 the only thing I always buy if I am doing belts in original V.W ones just to be double safe :)
