  1. When i had the car back from vw the car was fine for 2 days then it went back to idleing high?

  3. YEP MY CAR IS IDLEING HIGH BEEN INTO VW SPENT £500 ON PARTS AND NEW PIPES THE ONLY TWO PARTS THAT I HAVE NOT CHANGED ARE THESE TWO VW DID NOT FIX MY PROBLEM SO I AM AT A LOOSE END!!!

  5. hey guys can a faulty oil temp sensor cause high idling?

Hey mat i have the same problem with my corrado revs staying at 3000 even when the clutch is down when changing gear i have changed the idle control valve checked all the vacum pipes for leaks cleaned the throttle body but still the same problem i am just to change oil temp sensor number2 to see if that works if you have any joy let me know cheers Luke

  8. this is wot i was told today? he showed me as he put pressure with his hand on the connection of the temp sensor the car would idle perfectly but when he moved his hand it would pic up the revs again? he said there is a loose connection? i will try it tomorrow it is worth a couple of quid to see if it solves my problem? He said that the car is running at normal temp but the car thinks it is still cold so it is giving it more revs like on a cold morning? i will soon find out tomorrow!!
  9. thanks for all the info the 2nd temp sensor had gone on the corrado which was making idle high but never mind got one on order cheers Luke
  10. i have recently had the timing belt changed could this be something to do with the problem? if it is not aligned up properly?
  11. Hey guys can any body help changed the isv for a new one but still the same problem still idling at 3000 revs well pissed but never mind just need to solve this problem any ideas?
  12. hey guys i need your help again i have just bought a new isv and fitted it but it still has not solved my problem, the car is still idling between 2000 and 3000 revs but when i pinch the rubber hose that goes to the front of the isv across the manifold the car idles like it should can any body please help?
  13. is this the same as a idle control valve that gsf sell? because i cannot find an isv in there catalogue?
  14. it is to the left hand side of the manifold with a vacum pipe running into the front of in which comes acoss the manifold a second rubber hose from underneath and an electrical connection into the back it has avo vw sticker on it and is infront of the distributor level with the manifold?

Hi just bought my first corrado and it was fine for the first few days, but it has all of a sudden started to idle at 3000 revs at stand still and also does not drop while pushing the clutch down while driving. i have cleaned the isv with carb cleaner but this did not solve the problem has anyone got any ideas cheers Luke
