  9. lorns get your behind down to uncle steve at stylehaus, im sure he will sort you out  bloody morons on the road, if i had a pound for every time i was cut up id be a millionaire, every morning on the same roundabout at riverside it needs to be slammed as in that pic
  10. im still waiting to be taken out in the pug but it sould be fun looks like once ive sorted the clutch master cylinder problem ill be looking at getting a rear or possibly a pair of uprated arb's, which should hopefully pair up nicely with the fk konigsports and 205 40 17 rubber that are already on the car which one's do people recommend what are peoples opinions on poly bushes as well, do you find they make good improvements and which ones would you go for, ive been looking at the red one's gsf do as my mate is quite impressed with them after we fitted them to his mk2 golf. Ash
  11. if youve got a mate in the trade or youre friendly with the local mechanic get them to buzz the top nuts off with an air gun or electric impact gun, the first time i fitted a set of coillies without one trying to do it by hand with a mate on his car i had a swan neck spanner with a 1m+ extension and the 7mm allen key with another 1m+ extension on it working it for an hour plus and it didnt budge, i went and got a mates impact gun and it was off 2 seconds later, and it was only a mk4 polo that had done 20k  the only other thing to check is if you need the tool with the lug on for the funny shaped nuts belowe the top munt nuts, gsf do a set of three which covers all vag cars that need them i think for something like £10-15 you definately want spring compressors as if you undo the retaining nuts without them the spring pressure can really hurt, it may even do permenent damage like blind you if they hit you wrong. other than that standard tools, maybe a bigish bar for the hub nuts etc, but there not hard to do. hth Ash
  12. ive also heard that just a rear arb only is better on a fwd car, however as said it depends on driving style, a mate has just fitted a group n rally suspension setup to his 205 gti, and god blimey it handles, surprisingly its only something like 30 mil lower, which according to the race car company he works for who setup track cars etc say that is the ideal height and low enough, due to being too low you can make the handling worse, im not sure about the ideal height setting for a corrado tho, does anybody have any ideas, i know mines low on 17's but does handle nice although ive not really pushed it yet lol. he has also just put an uprated rear arb on and aparantly the difference is the same as fitting the suspension again, the only problem is you can go round a bend bloody fast but youve got to keep youre foot IN else it turns into a drift car if youve pushing the grip limit. hope that helps/makes sense and isnt just waffle what do people find is the best setup for a rado, i.e. wheel size, tyres, suspension, arb's, poly or standard bushes etc, mines a kr btw if people find the engine makes a big difference. Ash
  13. right finally got a chance to look at it. i take it the two what look like 13mm nuts at the back of the clutch pedal are holding the master cylinder in place on the bulk head. the blue braided hose from the brake master cylinder to the clutch master cylinder is where its fluid comes from, so just drop the brake fluid level below that and i should have no worries with any fluid leaking from the brake master cylinder. then undo the pipe at the bottom of the master cylinder to remove it. that pipe then goes to a flexi pipe which then goes to another piece of hard pipe with a coil or two in it, this then attaches to what i think is the clutch slave cylinder, which looks surprisingly clean, as does the rest of the engine, the hard pipe also looks in good condition so i think i may not need to change it. i managed connect the clutch pedal to the rod, and the pedal doesnt feel heavy or stiff, so i suspect the clutch master cylinder is fine and its just a case of the rod failing, but unless i can change the rod seperately, i suspect its new m/c :( bloody long explanation lol, does this sound right. cheers Ash
  14. cheers dude il keep you posted as to the actual problem. hopefully i should get the bits a bit cheaper, as i get quite a good discount from GSF due to the amount of parts ive bought from them for my past cars and mates cars, plus being in the trade helps. i cant believe they dont do a haynes manual for the corrado, oh well im quite familier with the kr engine due to mates with mk2 golf 16v etc, its just the box and clutch setup im not so familier with, im guessing its just the same as any other hydraulic clutch setup tho, if it had been a mk2 golf i would probley have been able to sort it yesterday, ive got enough spares lol. and there was me thinking great ive got a spot on car that isnt going to need any mechanical work for a while, except servicing etc, then a week later up pops this, doh, the clutch actually felt quite nice and light compared to what im used to lol oh well im sure ill sort it. oh the checks in the post for being my haynes manual, as long as your on call 24/7 you never know i could need you at 2 in the morning for something lol. cheers Ash
  15. ok think i get that lol, ill check it over first thing in the morning, glad ive got the week off now else id be totally foobared, just another thing to add to my list to get done along with the other halfs 16v golf list that im in the middle of doing whilst im off :( thanks for the help looks like ill be heading to gsf again tuesday morning then :( cheers Ash
