I fitted a magnex ss exhaust recently to my VR6 and the diifference to standard is hardy noticable (maybe just a bit louder) it was fitted in 15 minutes too inc taking the old one off. That was working from the floor in my garage.

Anyone help , I,ve washed my engine off on my VR6 to find out where the oil was coming from ,thought it was a crankcase oil seal but it seems to be weeping from between the block and head on the drivers side (next to the air cleaner. Cant see round the back and I don't want to start taking bits off . Has anyone had or got a similar problem. Cheers in advance

I bought some wheels and similar happened just for the book they had 235 45 17 on . Don'know the offset but back was Ok except for the width of the tyres.front wouldn't clear caliper either, supplier said i needed an wheels with an offset of 20 they did fit but wheels were crap so sent them back .I have been told that even if a seller says MK4 golf wheels will fit you may still need spacers of 7mm for what its worth theres my tuppence worth . PS that was with standard suspension

Ok guys I'm now ready for some wheels by what I've looked at on here and by way of speaking to people it seems 16s are the way to go, for me at least, but what offset should i look for and how far can I drop the suspension will I be Ok with 40mm (iwant to retain some comfort) And what profile tyre

Hi anyone help have got some springs with marks on the front ones stating VW o11 VA50/02 and on the back ones VW 010HA 44/02 ......what does it mean . I thought it might be relevant to the drop in normal height? I want to lower my VR6 but only slightly.

Thanks for that , I've noticed that the top hose seeems under mega pressure when up to temp. The VR runs great stars well etc so I might check out a few things. I've been looking through the forum for ideas (wife is going mad) Starts getting you down though when you've just forked out for resparay, exhaust etc and I still need to replace the rear engine mount .......just want to drive it Cheeers

Hi anyone help please , just cleaned all my engine off and noticed what looks like oil or water between the block and head on the left hand side of the engine (as you look at it from under the bonnet ). I wiped it clean and started the engine again nothing appeared for ages and then low and behold wet stuff started appearing where you can just make the head gasket out. The oil is good colour and the coolant seems fine .....any thoughts for me Cheers

Just changed allthe suspension back to standard the tyres still dont fit albeit funnily enough the bottom spring mounts are slightly higher on the standard struts both front & back (food for thought!!) I'm even thinking of going to 16s if I can exchange the wheels . If anyones interested I would even have had to put spacers on the front 5-8mm so as to clear the calipers!! I think overall the best option in future would be to fit adjustable susp and then go for wheels ,I presume coilovers are narrower and so will give better clearance .

Help needed....just bought some 17s with 225 *45 series 17 tyres the wheels are 7j rims but they won't fit my vr6 i.e the strut touches the tyre .Has anyone any recommendations on what to do ...i.e fit different tyres (205s) or will I be better getting a set of coilovers . It seems as though I will need to space the rears by 20mm plus don't know about the fronts .I'm not too bothered about going low . Cheers

I'm looking for an exhaust system too wouldn't mind fitting a full system (without the cat if I dare) so any Tel number for Tsunami racing I live near Northallerton so its not far. :mad:

Hi , can anyone help .....the crank case oil seal is leaking on my VR6 can it be changed with the engine in situ. :roll:
